Policies of Ashleigh Heritage Home

Ashleigh Heritage Home is a large three storey detached house built in 1904 operated as a guest home for visitors to the city. Our décor is oriented towards restoration. We maintain a quiet family friendly atmosphere.

Guest rooms with shared facilities are available for individuals and families who do not require self contained accommodations.

Suites and apartments are available for groups and for those preferring self-contained accommodations.

Our policies protect the quiet comfort of our guests and help keep our rates affordable:

Reservations are secured with a deposit of 50% of the total bill. The balance is due upon arrival. A key deposit is collected on arrival and returned on checking out.
Deposits less a US$25 cancellation fee are refundable with two week’s notice for room reservations and one month’s notice for suite and apartment reservations.
Daily, weekly and monthly rates are available.
Check-ins are processed between 2 pm and 10 pm on the day of arrival. Check out is before 11 am on the day of departure.
Local telephone calls are free. Long distance cards may be purchased at several small shops on College or Bloor St., just steps from our home.
If you would like to receive calls, please check with us so that we may give you a telephone number to give to your callers. The telephone for guests has a different number than ours.
In order to ensure the comfort and security of all of our guests, access to our facilities by non-registered guests is permitted between 1 pm and 9 pm only.
If you would like someone to join you overnight for a portion of your stay, please contact us.
We will let you know if that affects your quoted rate and register their stay.
Smoking is permitted on our large and covered front porch, on the balcony, and in the serenity of the garden.
For the comfort of all of our guests, pets are not permitted.
We ask you not to wear your shoes inside. We have slippers available at the front door but you may prefer to bring your own.
Thank you for leaving your shoes in the hall downstairs, it helps us to keep the house quiet & clean for everyone.
Please do not tape anything on the walls since this strips the paint off on removal.
If there is something you need to put up please let us know and we will arrange to hang it for you.
If you are sharing the bathroom, please do not leave articles of clothing or towels in the bathroom.
If you would like to leave toiletry items in the bathroom, please make sure that they are in the cupboard so that they are not disturbed.
To book your stay, send us an email . Let us know your arrival and expected departure dates, how many adults and children there will be in your party, and your preferred room or suite. We’ll get back to you within the day with rates and availability.
